My name is Anthony San, born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. I am 26-years-old and I have been dancing for 8 years now. I teach breakdancing at Des Moines Social Club, Harding Middle School, Urbandale High School and BU Dance Co. and at local parks to help kids put their negativity and aggression into a positive outlet.
Harding Middle School is part of the Turnaround Arts Program and I have been teaching there since November 2014. Last year we had a performance in front of the executive director of Turnaround Arts and Hollywood actor Kal Penn. They loved our performance in April 2015 so much that they wanted to invite us to The White House to perform at a talent show hosted by Michelle Obama.
We will be in Washington, DC on May 23rd and perform in The White House on May 25th. We will also get to meet other Turnaround Arts Program schools from all over the country along with their invited artists.
