“I’ve been organizing for 13 years working mainly with people of color and the Asian American community. I’ve organized with the Khmer community for 3 years and the biggest issue I came across is that there is no support for young adults and youth. No support for their voice and ideas. No endorsements of leadership to be held in the Khmer community. Many have voiced that they have tried to reach out to our current elders/leaders but only to be shutdown and ignored.”
