“UConn Cambodian Students Association (CamSA) gave me a sense of identity. I felt I was white-washed. I had a hard time trying to find a place to fit in while growing up. CamSA was like my home away from home.
I definitely gained more confidence through the organization. I always saw myself as being a shy and quiet person. I probably wouldn’t be doing this interview right now if it wasn’t for CamSA. I didn’t realize that I had leadership potential.”
