“I was born and raised in Lowell, MA. I am of Cambodian and Vietnamese descent. I’m currently a senior studying Biology and Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I was the former Secretary of the Cambodian American Student Association (UML C.A.S.A.) and am currently the president of the Mass Lowell Urban Choreography Club. After graduation I hope to be employed as a software engineer and am looking forward to developing my own app.
I think the Khmer community in Lowell is on the come-up. I see my peers pushing the envelope whether it comes to education, entrepreneurship, or the arts. We just recently elected a Cambodian American to the state house. We have strong community organizations such as Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association of Greater Lowell and the Lowell Community Health Center. I see our generation striving for our dreams.”
