“The natural state of motherhood is unselfishness. When you become a mother, you are no longer the center of your own universe. You relinquish that position to your children.” –Jessica Lange

I came from Cambodia to live in the United States of America as a refugee in 1982 with my parents and older siblings. My greatest achievement as a mother is to see my child grow healthy, happy, educated, having a good career and good future. I strive to obtain my Master Degree to hope to receive decent financial support and maintain the basic needs for my child. I hope to save some money to send my child through college. I like to celebrate my child’s birthday every year to acknowledge and appreciate my child’s growth and presence for being a part of my life. I sacrifice everything for my child and my mother. This is a brief, “me as a mom” on this Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in this world. Best wishes to everyone and take care!
