Humans of Khmer America

Josephine Ung, CSU Fullerton

My name is Josephine Ung and I am a believer of the odds and defying the impossible. Having been Cambodian refugees, my parents and their three children at the time, made their way to the United States in 1984. Seven years later, I was brought into this crazy yet beautiful world. I am the youngest of 6 incredible siblings and will be the second sibling of my immediate family to have graduated from a college university. Having not known my distant and then later deceased father, I am forever grateful for my entire family, but in particularly my wonderful mother and oldest sister for the sacrifices they have made for us. Graduating college is just a small thank you to them for what obstacles they endured which allowed me to become the person I am today. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, cooking, trying out different foods, and spending time with my loved ones. I still have yet to travel the world, especially Cambodia.

On May 21, 2016 I will have graduated from California State University, Fullerton with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Decision Sciences. I plan to work in the field of Real Estate and Property Management. In addition, because health and fitness have played a huge role in my lifestyle, I plan on furthering my knowledge and experience in that industry as well.
