“ACJ 2015 was a great experience for me. I did a lot of growing as a person. I met an amazing group of people who all shared the same mindset and goals as I do. We accomplished so much together as a team and discovered our roots together in Cambodia.
My goal of the trip was to have a deeper connection with my motherland and to put things in perspective. Although I was always interested in my culture and its history growing up, actually going there, experiencing the country and interacting with locals, was an education no book could ever give me.
Observing the poverty definitely put things into perspective for me. I am grateful for the life I have and feel motivated to be the best I can be. I have a renewed focus for life and feel confident to take on my next chapter.”
